What we do
Deloitte Caspian is one of the leading professional services firms, providing audit, tax, consulting and financial advisory services through nearly 570 people in 7 offices across 4 countries in the Caspian region. We are heavily involved in developing corporate governance and good corporate citizenship, helping companies transition to local and global markets. Through our various programs we are also building the future business and social leaders of Kazakhstan. And in doing this we are encouraging our young leaders to be more than they ever thought they could!
How do we do it? By delivering:
Audit services
We provide clients with professional advice and assurance on their controls and accounting systems, bringing financial statements into line with international standards. We carry out audits in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Tax & legal services
We offer a full range of tax solutions to help clients comply with tax regulations, minimize the numerous tax liabilities they face and deal effectively with the tax authorities when disputes arise. We provide legal consultations as part of audit and tax projects, as well as an independent service.
Consulting services
We target almost every function within a client’s organizational structure: strategy, finance, marketing, information technology, operations and distribution, and human resources. We also provide strategic, advisory and support services to clients planning and undertaking mergers, acquisitions, disposals, refinancing, restructuring, joint ventures or other forms of strategic alliance.
The consulting services line incorporates an Enterprise Risk Services practice, which is a global leader in helping clients manage risk and uncertainty, from the boardroom to the market place. We provide a broad array of services that allow our clients to better measure, manage and control risk, and also to enhance the reliability of systems and processes throughout their organization.
Financial advisory services
Deloitte Caspian is one of the largest providers of financial services in the region. Our FAS department offers a wide range of services, including: business valuation, due diligence, capital raising, transaction structuring, financial restructuring and investment consultancy; including investment legislation, company law, foreign exchange regulations, tax legislation, commercial and contractual issues.

How we are helping young Kazakhstan citizens
Graduate recruitment
We begin our Graduate Recruitment Program in February or early March each year, participating in a number of student job fairs and making presentations at almost 15 universities in the Caspian region.
Summer Internship Program
Don’t spend summer without Deloitte!
30 talented and smart students have had an internship in Almaty office from July till August 2008 and gained their first professional experience in the following departments of our practice:
· Audit
· Tax & legal
· Consulting
· FAS
Each year we have targets to hire interns during busy seasons.
Sponsorship program for underprivileged students
We also have sponsorship program for underprivileged secondary school graduates wishing to study at leading universities, but who are unable to afford to do so. We have provided scholarships each year to an additional 4 high school graduates, who are selected based on exceptional results in the Unique National Test. We will support these students further, based on their academic achievements, until they obtain a bachelor’s degree, with internships.
Graduate Recruitment events in London and New York
To support Kazakhstan students studying in the UK and USA we provided sponsorship to both the Kazakhstan Society and the Cultural Center of Kazakhstan with whose assistance we organize events and personally visit and meet Kazakhstan students.
Also we would like to mention that Deloitte has sponsored the British Kazakh Society and British Alumni Club Kazakhstan (BACK) to support Kazakhstan youngsters in the UK and also help support BACK students when they return to Kazakhstan.
